UNA USA Dane County is an affiliate chapter of UNA USA.

The United Nations Association of the United States of America (UNA-USA) is the country's largest grassroots foreign policy organization, and the leading center of policy research on the United Nations. It is a nonprofit, nonpartisan group designed to educate Americans of every age about critical issues tackled by the U.N.

With a growing membership of 23,000 and more than 100 affiliated organizations, UNA-USA sponsors programs and events designed to encourage participation in global issues. Through its Business Council for the United Nations division, UNA-USA also works to promote increased cooperation between the U.N. and the business community.

  • What Can the United States of America Do to Help Combat Diseases Around the World? By Janet Eom

    Janet is a sophomore at Middleton High School and a member of MHS's Model UN. She is the Wisconsin winner of the UNA-USA High School Essay Contest. This year's contest was to be a letter to the President about "What Can the United States of America Do to Help Combat Diseases Around the World?" Janet is one of 35 national semi-finalists and in the running as the recipient of a $2000 award, an expenses paid trip to New York City and recognition at the UN.

  • We Thank You!!! By Bridget Curtis

    Bridget Curtis, a 7th grader at Saints Andrew Thomas School in Potosi, WI, wrote the winning essay on Human Rights: "We Thank You!!!" Bridget's Mother, her Uncle, and her teacher, Mrs. Pfab were guests of our Chapter for dinner before our meeting on February 12. At the meeting, Bridget read her essay and received a Certificate and a Cash Prize of $50.
