1. Become Informed
Learn more about the United Nations, its charter, and the actions of each of its specialized agencies at www.un.org

For daily reports (Mon-Friday) on the United Nations, its agencies, and reactions from world leaders on UN issues read UNWIRE.

2. Register for UNA USA E-Action Network:
Stay informed on current issues and respond to action alerts: allows members who are part of the Network to "take action" quickly and easily by providing them with a sample letter which they can personalize and send to their elected officials by e-mail, fax or regular mail.

3. Contribute to UNA Sponsored Programs
The Dane County chapter endorses many UN Programs as well as the local Model UN group. Your monetary contributions are always appreciated.

4. Advocacy Alert
Frequently the Advocacy Committee of the Dane County Chapter will suggest an important topic which needs public attention. Help us by contacting the appropriate decision makers and letting them know that you support our position on an issue.

5. UNICEF Essay Contest
Participate in the UNICEF Essay Contest, a national competition open to young people (ages 13 - 17).
